An annual, perennial, or biennial grass that grows quickly and is severely allergenic. Ryegrass is quite nutritious, which is what makes it great as forage or pasture grass. It’s also found in pastures, river beds, roadsides, footpaths, and sand dunes.

Where is Ryegrass found?

Ryegrass originated from Europe, but can be found on every continent with temperate climates, including the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia, North America, South Africa, and Australia.

Due to the nutritional value, Ryegrass is widely grown on forage-livestock farms, especially in the Southeast.
