What to expect with Patch Testing
Book an appointment with Nectar Allergy Center
Meet with your provider to discuss your skin symptoms and history of possible allergen exposures
Preparation and Patch Application
Small patches containing common allergens will be applied to your back. You’ll wear them for 48 hours, avoiding water, sweating, or activities that could dislodge the patches
Follow-Up and Patch Removal
Return to the clinic to have the patches removed. Your provider will examine your skin for reactions, which helps identify specific substances causing your allergic contact dermatitis
Develop your treatment plan
Your provider will work with you to develop a treatment plan based on your test results.
