Allergies come in many forms and can trigger multiple conditions. Along with a careful clinical history, we test for the allergens that are most relevant to you, to ensure the most effective treatment.

3How we test

Skin prick testing

A drop of specific environmental or food allergens is pricked or scratched onto the skin and monitored. The appearance of a small itchy bump may suggest an allergy to that substance.

Oral food challenges

A medical procedure where a food is eaten in small incremental amounts under medical supervision to diagnose or rule out a food allergy.

Blood testing

In specific circumstances, blood testing can also be utilized to identify certain environmental allergies and immediate food allergies.

Spirometry

A device used to assess lung function by calculating the volume and speed of airflow through the lung.
